This week Reception found out about important people in the local community. We found out about the fire service and how firefighters help others. We explored the different tools and uniforms firefighters need to help keep people safe. They also learnt about the story of the Great Fire of London and how there was no fire service in the past, so people had to work together to help each other. They acted out the story, asked questions as if they were historians and then compared past and present fire service items and talked about how they have changed over time.
