Boats

This week we explored the question “How do we get to where we are going?” by learning about boats and how they help people travel across water. The children discovered that boats are a form of transport that can take us to places cars, buses, or trains cannot reach. We talked about different types of boats, such as canoes, sailing boats, submarines, and pirate ships, and discussed how they move across water. We built boats using materials like pool noodles, straws, and paper sails, then tested them in water trays to see how far they could go. The children observed what helped their boats move and thought about what they might change next time.
