Reception continued exploring the beauty of nature by looking closely at the pattern in leaves 🍃

The children used crayons to create lovely leaf rubbings, discovering the different shapes, lines and textures hidden in each leaf. It was a wonderful way to combine our creativity with our understanding of the natural world.

They also closely observed leaves while creating observational drawings. They learnt that observational drawing involves carefully looking at objects around us and drawing what we see. They then had a go at creating their own observational drawing of a plant 🪴
