This week Reception have been learning about the artist David Hockney. They have been exploring some of his paintings and looking closely at the colours and shapes he uses in his artwork.

They then had a go at creating their own ‘Arrival of Spring’ pieces inspired by his style. They first started by creating a colour wash to paint the background of their pictures. They then added trees using crayons to create detail, inspired by Hockey’s Arrival of Spring artwork. 🎨 🌳
