This week, Reception visited Dalestorth for a Bug Hunt Adventure! 🔍🐜

The children became young explorers and investigators as they searched the area for minibeasts and discovered what was hiding beneath logs, leaves, and around the grounds. ☁️😊

Although the ground was quite dry, they still managed to find a variety of fascinating bugs, including beetles, spiders, and other tiny creatures. 🪲🕷️

The children also enjoyed sorting and grouping the bugs they found using different criteria, such as size, colour, number of legs, and habitat. This helped to develop their observation, classification, and scientific thinking skills.

A fantastic outdoor learning experience full of curiosity, discovery, and adventure! 🌿✨
