In Spring term, Year 3 have a History focus in our Enquiry and writing lessons. Our class book is The Wild Way Home written by Sophie Kirtley.
The children will learn about the different periods of the Stone Age (Palaeolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic Ages) and how Britain changed during these periods. As a class, we will study the Bronze and Iron Ages to help us understand how life changed from the Stone Age. We will learn about repeated patterns in music and will recreate a Stone Age song using instruments.
In Spring Term, we will be learning about the different roles of a skeleton where we will learn the names of some bones and muscles in the human body. Furthermore, we will learn about rocks and how they are made. We are going to be learning about Mary Anning, a famous scientist. The children will be working scientifically whilst completing many investigations.
